Founded in 1798, the Tobermory distillery is the only one on the Isle of Mull, in the Hebrides archipelago.
It is one of the most historic Scottish distilleries, known among single malt lovers for Tobermory 10 Years Old, and its idyllic location makes it truly unique.
After various events, Tobermory Distillery reopened in 2019 and reignited its extraordinary stills.
Meanwhile, an outstanding 12 Years Old was quietly aging in ex-bourbon casks in its warehouses, now finally available on the market.
Exceptionally pure island water, unpeated Scottish barley, short fermentations, distillation in uniquely shaped stills and selected ex-bourbon casks make Tobermory 12 Years Old a surprisingly fresh, floral, elegant, smooth and vibrant single malt. Un-chillfiltered, natural color, 46.3% ABV.
Since September 2021, Branca has also added the distribution of Tobermory Gin, with a unique character. Distilled on the island with a rich bouquet of hand-selected botanicals including juniper, tea, heather, elderflower and sweet orange peel, and enriched by the experience drawn from over 220 years of the company’s history.
Medium-peated single malt, aged for at least 10 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks.
SENSORY NOTES:
APPEARANCE: amber
NOSE: notes of peat, iodine, butter, freshly cut grass and honey.
PALATE: savory with salty and maritime notes that blend with spices, a touch of black pepper and smoked wood. A long finish with notes of ginger, peat and a salty aftertaste.
Tobermory 12 Years Old is an unpeated and floral single malt aged in ex-bourbon casks.

APPEARANCE: amber
NOSE: notes of fruit, pastry and sea breeze: the first aromas are pear and green apple, brown sugar, followed by hints of flour, ginger, yogurt and cinnamon biscuits.
PALATE: rich and smooth, with a sweet hint of passion fruit and a finish of orange peel, caramel and date.

NOSE: notes of raisins, cloves, orange and a touch of licorice, over a background of peat and sea breeze.
PALATE: hints of sherry, sea salt, tobacco, barbecue sauce and ash, along with fruit and toasted almond. An ashy finish with a touch of orange and a slightly spicy note.
Tobermory Gin begins as a blank canvas, inspired by the expressive nature of the Isle of Mull. A note of spirit drawn from Tobermory whisky stills is added to create a unique character. Distilled on the island with a rich bouquet of hand-selected botanicals — juniper, tea, heather, elderflower and sweet orange peel — the gin starts from a base spirit repeatedly distilled until clean and fresh, ready to express a vibrant range of flavors.

PALATE: fresh juniper balanced with sweet orange and lemon, hints of coriander, delicate herbs and spices, with a subtle creamy touch of sweet malt and a long, fresh and persistent finish.
