Galliano is a true Italian spirit.
Its creation was entrusted by Arturo Vaccari to Fratelli Maraschi SPA, founded in 1888 in Torino, a region renowned for prosecco, vermouth, and aromatic wines. Today, the company is based in Chieri, a small town at the foot of the Alps near Torino—a location that remains essential, not only because Vaccari crafted his liqueur here in 1896, but also because many of the herbs and spices used in Galliano are grown in the surrounding area.
Although production now takes place in a modern facility, the founders’ standards are still upheld: the liqueur is distilled in two traditional copper stills of less than 100 liters, reserved exclusively for this Italian craft.
Vaccari meticulously designed every aspect of Galliano to embody grandeur, including the bottle. Its tall, elegant shape draws inspiration from the columns of ancient Roman temples and the majesty of the empire, naturally placing it on the highest shelf and setting it apart from all others. Galliano is perfect for refreshing aperitif cocktails or evening celebrations.
The original recipe, crafted in 1896, blends over 30 aromatic herbs. Anise, vanilla, and peppermint take center stage, complemented by fresh herbs, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and citrus.

Galliano Amaretto is a rich, exceptionally balanced almond liqueur. Its bitter almond flavor is achieved by blending the pure essence with essential oils of geranium, rose, and iris. Beyond the classic notes of marzipan and bitter almond, Galliano Amaretto reveals hints of roasted cocoa beans and Madagascar vanilla.
A delicate touch of sweet and sour cherry comes from both the fruit pulp and pits. The distillate is aged for several weeks, allowing the development of the characteristic sweet, caramelized, and slightly bitter aromas that define Galliano Amaretto’s unique character.
